Project Engineer - Generation

 

The City of Rochester is Minnesota’s third largest City with a population of more than 110,000. Rochester Public Utilities (RPU) is the largest municipal utility in the State of Minnesota. serving over 50,000 electric customers and over 39,000 water customers in a 57 square mile service area, The Project Engineer - Generation is responsible for providing technical and administrative assistance in the management and accomplishment of existing and new capital and major maintenance projects involving the gas turbine, hydroelectric, reciprocating engine and steam generation facilities.  Projects may range from simple equipment/building maintenance to complex mechanical and electrical system improvements and additions.  This individual will also serve as the primary interface between internal departments and external contractors to ensure projects are completed within the quality and safety standards of RPU. This position reports to the Manager of Power Resources. 

 

Starting salary range of $84,990 to $99,988, depending on qualifications with advancement to $124,984. An excellent benefits package is included. Applications will be accepted until the vacancies are filled with those received by August 12, 2018, receiving priority consideration.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or other closely related field from an accredited four-year college or university AND 3 years of full-time employment experience managing new construction and capital improvement projects for a large commercial/industrial facility.   A valid driver’s license and is also required.
